As both a dental surgeon and a business owner, Dr. Jaffari enjoys challenging himself to provide effective care and first-class service. Whether mastering a new dental technique or growing the practice, he strives to provide the highest quality treatment to all his patients.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Jaffari received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from University of Michigan School of Dentistry, #1 dental school in the world. He is actively involved in the organized dentistry community. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), serves on the Membership Council of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and is a board member and a fellow of the New Jersey American Dental Association (NJAGD). He is also a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA) and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Jaffari is a diplomat through American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).
As a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Jaffari specializes in implants, Invisalign, Sleep Dentistry, Cosmetics, and Complex Full Mouth Rehabilitation. An avid learner, he is constantly expanding his skill set by educating himself on the latest innovations in dental technology and procedures. He believes that dentistry should go beyond simply treating teeth and takes a holistic approach with each patient to create the best experience possible. This patient-centric approach serves as the underpinning of his philosophy.
Prior to joining TMJ, Sleep & Airway Orthodontics, Dr. Jaffari founded Team Dental in 2013. By educating its patients and staff (Dr. Jaffari included), encouraging preventative care, and investing in new technologies, he feels confident ihis patients can achieve better outcomes and higher satisfaction. Additionally, Dr. Jaffari feels that each patient should be treated like a family member.
“Every patient is our most important patient,” explains Dr. Jaffari, “I tell my staff it doesn't matter who that patient is. Treat them as if they were your mother, your niece, or your brother.”
So what advice does he have for his patients? Simply put, “Smile more.”
“Your smile really represents a lot of value,” says Dr. Jaffari, “and the more you smile, the happier you are.”
The learning never ends! What are all those letters after his name? FAGD- Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Jaffari has been a member for over 15 years in the AGD. He’s served numerous positions including NJ AGD president and currently holds a national position . Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. Dr. Jaffari focuses on the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. As an AGD Fellow he practices these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this. To become an AGD Fellow Dr. Jaffari had to: Complete over 500 credit hours of CE. Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses. Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jaffari takes pride in self-improvement – pursuing continuing education in dental specializations – and mentoring others. In his free time, he enjoys travel, going to the gym, and transcendental meditation.
